Proud,Mostly

Proud, Mostly is a fashion pocket book. The semi-translucent printed fabric on the cover resembles a faded rainbow flag of truce, while also referencing the handkerchief code and the fig leaf. The word “proud” emerges behind it as a mostly present, partially obscured placard. Functioning as a bookmark, it drifts through the pages, guiding the reading towards uncertainty and quiet loss.

Adopting a French fold structure with lightweight paper,  the book conceals images of real-world events within the inner folds, set against the poetic fashion imagery on the outside, hinting at the social context behind “proud.” Through stretched letter spacing and tilted, fragmented typography, the book sustains a mostly normal reading experience.
