Find Water


 
The poster series takes the “absence of water” as its central visual motif, echoing the title of the short film Finding Water. Water is hidden at the mouth of a bottle, spilled from a bowl, in the falling letters, and in the ripples they create. Adopting the traditional Chinese aesthetic of leaving blank, the composition suggests presence through absence and fullness through emptiness. Here, water is not shown directly, but concealed in negative space, silence and blankness. Its absence marks the very beginning of the search.
