Will Have Been Loved
Will Have Been Loved explores the "future perfect tense" of love through geometry’s critical states (moments when an object starts to change) , crafting a geometric poem and still-life portrait of love that contemplate its fragility, fleeting nature, and the unfulfilled longing for permanence.
Interactions between geometric shapes depict love’s instability—a sphere ripples upon touch, cradled by lining cloth, or falls with the speed of tears. Time stretches and freezes as the physical simulation unfolds, capturing love suspended between surreal fantasy and inevitable decline.
A soundscape of ambient moments from gay romance films, subtly misaligned with the visuals, creates gaps for interpretation. Through geometry, Will Have Been Loved unravels love’s myths—its promises of permanence, its idealised purity. Beyond the moment, all love departs.
