“Carnival celebrates marks the suspension of all hierarchical rank, privileges, norms, and prohibitions.” — Mikhail Bakhtin, Rabelais and His World.

In a huge system that is highly modernized, we need a way to revolutionize the stereotyped and serious daily life in society—"Birthdayism" is a concept.  The "Birthdayism" movement extracts the three elements of birthdays — cake, candle, and wish, then connects everyday life through "Everything is cake," "Everything is candle," and "Wish everything."  Make the unconventional ritual of birthdays an everyday lifestyle! Expand birthday possibilities! Celebrate everything as resistance! Revelry!

This project uses an interactive website and going viral as a form of digital activism, launching an outre and democratic participatory revolution. The website includes a parade as a homepage, a clear manifesto, a guideline to guide people’s practice, and a Tower to collect wishes.
